The ACT-80R is a versatile and precise thermometer readout module that delivers high-accuracy temperature measurements.
It is an affordable and compact-sized solution designed to measure various types of platinum resistance thermometers, including 10 to 100 ohm PRT, SPRT, IPRT, and RTD(Pt100), in 2, 3, and 4-wire mode.
The module utilizes advanced resistance ratio topology and a temperature-regulated reference resistor that is typically found in high-end resistance bridges to ensure super low noise levels and high-accuracy measurements. Additionally, the excitation current reversing topology is employed to minimize the impact of thermal EMF, resulting in exceptional short- and long-term stability.
The ACT-80R's embedded MCU calculates the temperature based on the ITS-90 standard or the Callendar-Van Dusen equation.
The module can be easily connected to various host systems, such as embedded MCUs, PCs, and PLCs, through flexible custom interfaces. The SCPI protocol is used for remote control by default, but the module also supports a simple and efficient communication protocols.
